Training & qualifications
- BDS, Bachelor of Dental Surgery.
- MDS, Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. Three years of specialist surgical training beyond the dental degree, covering impacted teeth, implants, jaw surgery and facial trauma.
- Practice in Karnal since 2020. Established Dr Mehta's Facial Surgery and Dental Clinic, treating families from first check-ups through to surgical cases referred by other dentists.

Dr. Nainik Mehta trained as an oral and maxillofacial surgeon, the branch of dentistry that deals with the jaws and face rather than teeth alone. That training is the reason this clinic exists. He kept meeting patients in Karnal who had been told their problem needed a bigger city, when what it actually needed was a surgeon in the room.
He runs the clinic jointly with Dr. Kusha Dhawan Mehta, a prosthodontist, each leading their own specialty, so that the surgery and the rebuilding that follows it are planned together rather than handed between two clinics.
Patients tend to describe two things about him: that he explains what he can see on the scan until you actually understand it, and that he will tell you when a tooth does not need touching yet. Both are deliberate.
